1997 SET REUNION 2021: G.S.S Garki Abuja Were Able to Locate One Another After 24 Years
The Government Secondary School Garki 1997 set reunion was held on Saturday, 27th March, 2021 at The City Park, Ahmadu Bello way, Wuse 2, Abuja. The event was graced by members of the set in glamour. It was the first formal reunion of the people of that set 24 years after leaving school.
Highlights of the event
The Planning of the event was undertaken by a reunion planning committee, headed by Onyilo Daniel Inalegwu, and 24 other members of the team.
The event had several sub-committee viz: Entertainment, security, food/venue, Protocol, Finance.
The programme started with a white carpet reception after the individual has been checked in by the protocol committee.
Members were so excited, some members have not crossed path in 24 years. It was a rare opportunity to reconnect with old friends.
During the course of the programme, we had a lecture delivered by Mr Inyang Ate, an alumni of the same school of the 1990 set. He is also the chairman of the caretaker of GSS Garki old Student Association, he spoke on the topic: “Gains of networking among old school mates” He also went ahead to inaugurate the interim executives with the portfolio as follows:
