Nigeria on retainership basis. In brief the duties usually carried out by our
firm under this module includes but is not limited to the following:
1. Arranging and conducting
all company statutory meetings (ordinary, extraordinary and Annual General
Meetings.
2. Taking appropriate minutes
at such meetings and keeping the minute book.
3. Keeping and updating the
Company Register and the Company Seal.
4. Filing all appropriate
corporate affairs returns.
5. Generally acting as
company liaison in their relationship with several parastatals e.g The
Corporate Affairs Commission, the Land Registries and government ministries.
6. Giving legal and quasi-legal advice to the company
on matters relating to the Firm’s practices.
Retainership
Retainership is a form of
outstanding that leading companies and informed small business use to take
care of legal needs to avoid falling on wrong side of the law. In a
retainership, the individual or company pays an annual fee to our firm for
access to tailored legal advice on specific issues, company secretariat work
(if required), discount on service and legal representation in meetings. The
agreement is normally in force for a year, and can be thus renewed.
