Earthquake hits off Mexico’s Baja

A shallow earthquake struck off the west coast of Mexico on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It said the magnitude 5.7 quake occurred at sea 118 kilometers (73 miles) east-northeast of La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
